How we earn

Some links on this site are affiliate links. If you click one and go on to use a partner’s service — for example a conveyancer, surveyor or removals firm — we may earn a commission. This costs you nothing extra, and is often the same price as, or better than, going direct.

It does not affect our data

Our house-price figures, charts and rankings come from official open data (HM Land Registry and the Office for National Statistics). Commercial relationships never influence the numbers we publish, how areas rank, or what the data says. The data is the data.

Honest recommendations

We only aim to feature services we would consider using ourselves, in categories relevant to buying, selling or moving home. We do not cover, and will not take commissions on, financial products that require regulation — such as mortgages, equity release or insurance.
